Advanced search term tips
The operators to make an advanced search in Google are the +(plus), -(minus), *(wildcard) and the ""(quotes) and they are designed to narrow your search results. The meaning of them is as follows:
The plus(+) operator is used as in house +barn and will yield results which contain the words house and barn.
The minus(-) operator as in wild -card ensures that the word card does not appear with the term wild.
The wildcard(*) represents any character such as in monkey* where the result is monkey with any word after it.
A term enclosed in quotes will yield results that are exactly the same as the phrase enclosed by the quotes such as "big yellow centipede".
